Climate change is increasing the likelihood of extreme autumn wildfire conditions across California

https://iopscience.iop.org/article/1...48-9326/ab83a7

No question, Climate Change is not just real, but increasingly dangerous. The air here has been filled with smoke for weeks. The CA fires this year are FAR more widespread than ever before.

No $hit.
In the upcoming years we of today will be cursed for the world leaving behind.

Most of the adverse issues can be traced back to climate. The mass migration from the equatorial reasons. Loss of shoreline and marine life other then over fishing of course.

Worsening storms from increasing moisture in the atmosphere. Losses of crops do to rain at the wrong time.

Goldman Sachs sees renewables investment beating oil & gas for first time ever in 2021

https://balkangreenenergynews.com/go...-ever-in-2021/

Quote:
Green energy could attract USD 16 trillion in investment through 2030

Through 2030, renewable energy could attract as much as USD 16 trillion in investment, in what would be consistent with the world’s aim to keep global warming below 2°C, as envisaged in the Paris Agreement, Goldman Sachs said in a report titled “Carbonomics.”
Idiot climate change deniers are going to be left behind not only in their ignorance, but financially as well. "Green Hydrogen" alone will be a $12T industry.

Vanguard, BlackRock add new climate-focused ETFs as demand soars

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/vangu...192227984.html

Got an email on this from Vanguard today. Plenty of folks who, unlike the idiot OP and his Reich-wing pals, understand the science and the crisis, will buy into these funds.

The world’s most beloved 94-year-old naturalist says his Instagram record brings ‘great hope’

https://www.washingtonpost.com/clima...tagram-record/

Quote:
It took less than five hours for David Attenborough to break Instagram’s record for the fastest accumulation of 1 million followers.

Britain’s revered 94-year-old naturalist beat Jennifer Aniston’s record by 32 minutes — an achievement he said has given him “important hope” for the future amid growing concerns over “the destruction of nature” and the looming threat of an irreversible climate emergency.

Attenborough told the BBC that young people are in the best position to drive change in a world that faces an increasingly precarious future. In seeking to reach a wider — and younger — audience, Instagram seemed like a good place to start: According to the statistics database Statista, about 70 percent of Instagram’s worldwide users are younger than 35 and more than a third are younger than 25.

“It’s their world, and it’s their tomorrow,” Attenborough said. “I won’t be there. They will be.” He added that he felt “privileged” that the platform’s users were interested in “what an old bloke like me is talking about.”
Thankfully, the kids understand what's at stake, unlike the willfully ignorant OP and his fellow disgusting Trumpkin idiots.

Record-breaking California wildfires surpass 4 million acres

https://apnews.com/article/wildfires...c5c2f4c59c07d0

Quote:
Deadly wildfires in California have burned more than 4 million acres (6,250 square miles) this year — more than double the previous record for the most land burned in a single year in the state.

California fire officials said the state hit the astonishing milestone Sunday with about two months remaining in the fire season. The previous record was set two years ago when wildfires destroyed 1.67 million acres (2,609 square miles).

Numerous studies have linked bigger wildfires in America to climate change from the burning of coal, oil and gas. Scientists say climate change has made California much drier, meaning trees and other plants are more flammable.
...and the fire season is far from over. Very obvious, very visible result of climate change. Yet Trumpkin idiots continue to deny, deny, deny. SAD!

The point is, it isn't that "black and white":

https://www.washingtonpost.com/outlo...1f1_story.html

It’s a false dichotomy to posit that the fires of 2020 are caused either by climate change or by poor forest management. The scientific research is clear that both play a role, even if that observation does not lend itself to a sound bite or a tweet.

...which is primarily a FEDERAL issue, something your Dear Leader doesn't want you to know...

Firstly, most forest in California, Oregon and Washington isn't the responsibility of the state authorities - in fact, their share of forest land is small.

In California state, the federal government owns nearly 58% of the 33 million acres of forest, according to the state governor's office. The state itself owns just three per cent, with the rest owned by private individuals or companies or Native American groups.

+1..........

Here in Colorado, both have played a role. I "THINK" the global warming is more than half the problem. I have seen huge changes in the forests in the mountains. Changes that are not due to fires, but to climate. When they died, then they became ripe for fire.

Oh, I do know that. If you read the article I posted, you might have seen that this issue has been going on for decades. Trump's only been around for 3.5 years. Unless you believe that Trump has discovered time travel....
