Set up the Nak, cleaned & demagnetized the heads, loaded a Ten Years After tape and fired her up.

Amazing this thing still works and sounds so great after 35 years..............

Go ahead and order a belt kit for it. You don't want to have a tape get ate!

The parts machine has new belts and pinch rollers in it. Lamps too. I think I'll just go ahead and scavenge all the good parts out of it now and bag them up. That'll save me time down the road.

I have a Sansui with a beautiful case. It doesn't work but it looks really nice.

Not related to politics or audio, but I ran across a pair of Schrade "Old Timer" knives last weekend. Got a 15OT "Deerslayer" and a 152 "Sharpfinger" for 5 bucks. A little polish and they should clean up just fine. She threw in a Chinese blade that I took to work for utility purposes.

I also found three 6-packs of Maxell XLII-S 100 cassettes at Goodwill. I was going to pull out the Nak 582 and do some recording, but decided to let the wife sell them instead for some mad money when we go to Phoenix next week.

I've had a Schrade 'Old Timer' in my pocket for the last 25 years. Well made pocket knives, I'm on my second one.
