Saying the video caused the attack is absurd. The people in these groups hate the U.S. and have for much longer than there's been a video. They attack us because they want to destroy us. They hate more about our culture than our free speech, though I'm sure taking out one freedom at a time will suffice. They've shown to be very patient.

I'm of the mindset that it really doesn't matter what caused the heinous act and we waste too much time arguing over it.

Our government didn't order the release of that video, it was just one of our resident asshats who pulled that slick move. But, radical Islamists aren't going to understand, or care about any of that. They will still see it as a provocative move by the "Great Satan" and attack whatever sybolizes this evil entity, in their eyes.

That being said, an inflammatory video being released there couldn't have helped matters any.

Is there anyone here who honestly thinks it would?

Regards,
Dave

It must be comforting to live in that bunker of doom universe for you.

This sounds like a diatribe against "The Red Menace" from the fifties and sixties.

Not trying to lecture Dave but this faked outraged conspiracy theory is just a smokescreen from the right to distract everyone from the fact that Romney seriously went off the reservation on the night of 9/11 by choosing to interject himself into the middle of this chickenshit attack on our ambassador simply for political gain. No other candidate has ever done this before and these assholes were scared to death that the true story would gain traction. His actions should have sunk his bid for the presidency but this smokescreen appears to have been partially successful. That is my opinion.

This subject is a scab that will not heal it seems. Just this week a good friend since HS and married to my sister. A real nice guy except for one weakness in character that being a FULL FLEDGED RIGHT WING NUT!

He had to call me first thing when the news about the e-mail. Told him to wait until all the info comes out before we talk about it. But he keep going on and on, So I finally just stated he was like his man Romney jumping the gun when all the facts were not in.
Told him I wanted a President who will be very slow and calculating at reacting to provocation, use extreme caution with our power. I don't want a person who is quick to send the nukes loose without all the information being in.

Then right before he hung up in my ear I mentioned how his other guy had eight years to get OBL and failed miserably alone with starting a war on out and out lies. Killing more innocent Americans then in this attack BTW. That is when the phone when dead. Would not pick up the phone for my repeated calls.

Finally stopped by yesterday and we laughed about it and moved on it seems for now. This election has been tough on personal relationships and will be for awhile.

Barney

Where's the evidence? The intel community, who the president is now saying that he deferred to as their investigation unfolded, never once suggested the Benghazi attack was connected to the video as far as I know.

Whell, I think Condi just told you to STFU.

http://thinkprogress.org/security/20...d-water-libya/

But the Romney campaign thinks she just said that because she's black.
