HCQ is safe; FDA wouldn't approve it if it weren't. The problem is that it isn't an effective treatment for COVID-19. The whole HCQ thing started when China tried giving it to patients and it seemed to help them but as more doctors tried it in more countries, an overwhelming consensus was formed that it really didn't help while people still suffer the side effects from it.

Last I heard, the most effective treatment, which has caused survival rates to increase by roughly 2%, is remdesivir (a different antiviral) + steroid (I forget the name but starts with "a").

A suspicious conspiracy leaning person may start thinking some have a $hit load of this med now needing to be move. Bought up in the anticipation of making a quick killing.

So getting some help now before it is too late.
