Speaking of donations, if you really want to play with people, donate $1 to their campaign. It costs them more than that to process it.

Please read this. It's profoundly important.
Just read the quotes with the blue background if you don't want to read the whole thing. The quotes are taken from a book titled "They Thought They Were Free", written in 1955 by a Jewish-American journalist named Milton Mayer. The quotes are first Mayer's own and finally from a German university professor and former member of the Nazi Party whom Mayer interviewed for the book.

There is no question that we have taken the first tentative steps along this road, beginning largely under the Bush/Cheney Administration and still ongoing under the Obama Administration. I have no doubt that a Trump presidency would kick the process into high gear.

Bush and Obama were just two men. There are so many others that have been complicit in the loss of our freedoms. While I agree that both Bush and Obama and their enablers have eroded our rights and freedoms I don't believe Trump is an authoritarian as you do. I believe he is a pragmatist, an extremely egocentrical one, but a pragmatist is still better than a rigid ideologue or an authoritarian.
Nationalism doesn't always warrant comparisons to the Nazis and Hitler you know. In the majority of cases it does not. So why don't you just lighten up Francis.

Trump's entire public life is an ongoing spectacle of authoritarianism, bullying, megalomania and not a little bit of criminality. And, even if you just arrived from another planet in time to see his campaign, that fact should be crystal clear.
And Bush and Obama may be just two men but they don't operate in a vacuum.

As President, neither will Trump. Attempting to do so will turn him into a lame duck.
The thing is, will the nation prefer the known quantity or a grasp at change.

Are you sure about that?
I heard that it's just a flat percentage when you do it on the internet through ActBlue.

No, but it's what I heard. The bank or credit card company gets their cut and Act Blue gets their percentage but there are still administrative costs borne by the campaign to tally, process, tabulate and report their donations. I'm pretty sure that the average costs for all that is at least $1 per donation, aren't you?
