You thought? Really? This comment is just another in a long list of evidence that whatever your thoughts might be, they are generated out your ass.

The Feds are contemplating taking over Oregon's broken ACA system.

I wonder how soon the ODS sufferers will be out screeching 'LAWLESS" yet again?

Arch 'bagger out of Kansas, Huelskamp, gets four pinocchios for his latest pack o' lies.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/...sured/?hpid=z4

"Members of Congress have a responsibility to be factual and accurate, especially when speaking to constituents about federal policies. But as far as we can tell, in at least two instances Huelskamp simply invented his claim that “numbers” exist showing that “there are more people uninsured today in Kansas” since the health-care law was implemented. Not only are there no up-to-date data, but the available figures concerning young adults and exchange enrollments provide good evidence that the law has led to a decrease in the number of uninsured.
Huelskamp can be as big as critic of the law as he wants, but he’s not entitled to conjure phony facts out of thin air." WaPo

What do you know? Having health insurance can save your life.

"Eight years ago, Massachusetts became the first state in the nation to create a system of universal coverage, guaranteeing its poorest residents Medicaid and providing subsidies to help moderate-income residents get insurance on a state marketplace where insurers could not turn away the sick.
That structure became the foundation for the Affordable Care Act, which Obama signed in 2010.
Previous research has shown this system increased access to care and reduced Massachusetts' uninsured rate, now at less than 5%, the lowest in the nation.
A similar trend is emerging nationally, as surveys indicate millions have gained coverage since state marketplaces created by the federal law opened in October. A nationwide Gallup poll released Monday showed the percentage of working-age adults without coverage dropped from 18% last fall to 13.4% in April.
But the law's critics continue to question the effect the expansion will have on Americans' health.
Many point to research conducted on Oregon's expansion of Medicaid in 2008. That study found people who gained coverage made little progress controlling their cholesterol and blood pressure compared with low-income Oregonians without Medicaid. The researchers scrutinizing Massachusetts' experience looked at a longer-term — and arguably more consequential — measure of health: mortality." LATimes

Here come the 2014 renewals for those businesses who renewed late in 2013:

http://www.reviewjournal.com/politic...obamacare-pain

Local insurance brokers are reporting spikes ranging from 35 percent to 120 percent on policies that renew from July to December. The increases are especially acute among employers with workforces made up of younger, healthier men. That’s because Obamacare prohibits offering lower rates to healthier groups. It also narrows the allowed premium gap between older and younger enrollees.

No, these are not the "bad" health plans. These are otherwise compliant plans that are now being rated under the new Obamacare individual / small group market underwriting requirements.

Our policies went up less than 1% so this sounds like more bullshit from the miserable people in this country who would happily deny any good thing to their fellow citizens. What makes these people so fucking miserable, is it something in the water? If we can get what this property is worth we are off to Canada and civilization

We know that spreading the liability over the broadest base of support while controlling actual costs of prevention and treatment is the way to make this work, but I don't know if we will achieve that here in a for-profit/serve-stockholders-and-management-first atmosphere.

It may simply be that under health care reform rules, you're treated more favorably than you were in the past, and younger healthier folks aren't treated as well under the revised underwriting rules.

I'm sure that you can't wait to get back to Canada. However, I suspect you'll find plenty to bitch about up there soon enough after your return.
