If a few of these idiots weren't still potentially dangerous, it would be laughable.

But they are taught to hate, and some end up shooting 9 innocent people.

History is what it is.

How hard is it? Is it that difficult to accept history? You don't have to own it.

"My ancestors did some horrible things - I don't believe in those things and am more than happy to remove flags and symbols that bring back those hateful memories."

Is that so tough?

No, it's very easy. The problem is they do believe in and want to bring back those things there ancestors did. If they did not then they would do exactly what you described.

I am sure there are some more Dylan Roofs out there - there is no way to tell what is in peoples' hearts, but my instinct is the majority of those flag waving morons wouldn't go shoot up a church - they just don't like yankees telling them what to do and would rather fly that flag to satisfy their own spite than put it away because it is hurtful.
