True dat but this seems a bit more unhinged than usual. The fact that black democrats pushed the vote over to Cochrane is going to have more of these racist dirtbags frothing at the mouth in the coming days.

Guess they recognize a Jewish nazi type when they see one, I have the same reaction to gay republicans.

The take on this from The Club For Growth's head Chocola who spent $3.5 million and bundled $400,000 more from private donors to defeat Cochran.

And he wonders why nobody takes him seriously?

Heh, even the Count advised McDaniels to "Take a deep breath" before contesting the election results but so far the 'baggers are hopping mad that Cochran did the smart albeit unprecedented move of reaching across the aisle to snatch victory from defeat. Strange days we're seeing, eh? This one will be talked about for years to come.

Congrats to the establishment Repubs and Dems who have just redefined the Southern Strategy: play the race card to scare people into voting against your opponent. Well done.

Really? The race card? Whatcho smokin' Mike or have you been watching Glenn Beck again?

He reached across party lines and pulled a reverse Rush Limbaugh on his opponent, see 'Chaos Strategy'. Hell, even McDaniels crossed party lines back in '03 and voted in a Dem primary.

There's no need to play the race card with McDaniels. Just watching him is enough to scare any number of people. Do you really support having such unhinged whackos pulling the levers of government? They'd make yer boy Dubya look intelligent and nuanced.

We have a group here Orange county called the Lincoln Club. I never could understand the thought processes involved to be gay and Republican. I chalked it up to the Stockholm Syndrome or somesuch. I've never met any of them or I would ask.

It wasn't just a "race card". McDaniel really is a racist pig as are all of his friends. They are also supporters of "Golden Dawn" Greek Neo-Fascists and Neo-Confederate ideology. Their aim is to split this country in two again and establish a Neo-Fascist government in the South.

The veil is getting thinner by the day, Mike. Soon, the deniability will vanish altogether. Can't keep a lid on hate forever. It's a pressure cooker. Sooner or later it will either vent or explode.

Gay and Republican can intersect. A gay Republican organization is called the 'Log Cabin Republicans," a name with typical gay innuendo attaching.... here's their site: http://www.logcabin.org/

There has got to be more dissonance than ever these days between a gay and a Republican identity. But I have family history on how 'gay' and 'traditional respectable' definitively could go together, and lead a gay person to disapprove of a 'long-hair' relative back in the 70's.... Identity is not a thing that always makes logical sense in all its parts.
