So because the argument is black folks don't have IDs (?) shouldn't they sue when they get turned down at the liquor store?

A State ID or Drivers' license. Many hood stores card EVERYONE no exceptions (the fines are so large). I've tried pointing to my grey hair to no avail.

You know Pete it's the law to carry an ID in the state of California. Police can ask to see it at any time they like if you do not provide it they can bring you in to finger print you. To try to determine who you are, and able to hold you without charge for 48 hours.

So we know these people that want to try to equate this ID to vote as Nazi state is an ignorant attempt.

Those already exist. They're called voter registration cards. You get one when you register. When you register, you need to show proof of age and citizenship. After you're registered, your name is on the voter rolls, available to poll workers at your polling station. When you show up to vote, you're checked against the rolls.

What the Republicans want is to add an additional level of complexity, redundancy and cost to a process that's already working. The problem they claim to be addressing doesn't exist and they know it. They just want to make it harder for identifiable Democratic voters to vote.
