Helluva good rifle shooter, too, from what I hear...She sounds like the kind of person that I'd like to just "hang" with...I bet she & her husband would be a lot of fun...Just real, down to earth people. Barak & Michelle ? They don't impress me as being very friendly-I doubt if we would have much of anything to talk about. But then, I kinda doubt I would have got along w/McCain & his wife, either. I think I would have got along better w/Laura Bush than I would have w/George, too. Never much cared for that smartass, smirky, "I-Know-Something-YOU-Don't" grin he always had...Clinton would have been fun, if you coulda got him to unwind & let his guard down, get him talkin' about sports & chasing Tang De Poon...(grin)

Funny... men in politics don't seem to get character assassination. Oh...they get scrutinized for their mental ability or policies...but women get the sexual adjectives tacked onto their names. She is a beautiful intelligent woman. Do you suppose some men feel threatened by her ability? Just wondering...any thoughts?

She was definitely put under a stronger microscope then your usual candidate. Was it because shes a woman ? I would probably agree with you there. Not an equal world we live in yet..

That's probably part of it, but I find the left in general is threatened by her. Why else would they "still" be launching attacks on her. Can you imagine if she had a list of associates like Obama. The press (or whatever it has become), would have an absolute field day, of course it's no big deal if he has those associations.

I'm not threatened at all by Sarah Palin--she's toast if she thinks that she's qualified for the White House. I listened to her basketball analogies interview yesterday about "keeping the eye on the ball" for whatever...she's even funnier than Dan Quayle--she's a joke from the word GO. Her popular support was all about her snarky comments on the podium and her so-called good deals for Alaska (all of which have now gone sour). She's right at the top of the heap when it comes to political corruption and cover-ups with her behavior in Alaska.

George W. Bush was an incompetent and a War Criminal--he is the total cause for the mess we are in now and the perpetrator for the Iraq War based on false premises. Let's talk about those who are responsible for the mess we are in in the Middle East, and our financial mess and War Profiteering by the likes of Halliburton and all of the related companies doing sub-standard work in Iraq and getting paid whether the work was finished, correct or not. Bush, Rumsfeld, Cheney and their entire legal staff in the White House for the last 8 years--the Torture Crew.
We cannot even imagine the financial mess that George Bush created for all of us to fix for the next 100 years or more--far worse than Bernard Madoff's crimes--trillions, not billions of dollars of corruption and deception.

Interesting, but do you reserve any blame for Barney Frank, Maxine Waters, or Harry Reed (for the finacial crisis).

They are politicians trying to correct the problems of the last corrupt regime. I don't necessarily agree with their methods, but that in no way absolves the previous regime of their crimes of deception and avarice. As President Obama has stated...it took years to create the problems that we face, but we will not be able to correct the problems in a few months.

I think that we as a country will be suffering the effects of George Bush's presidency for generations--he was the worst for us on Constitutional, financial, moral and legal grounds--the WORST--bar none.
