So what is really happening is that yoyur color or stance really means nothing anymore. Maybe idealogically, and maybe in a political priciple or marketing scheme(if your red your... and blue means ...) it measn something. But other than a way to enrage the masses and create instability amongs the people, being on a certain stand point in a party for economic reasons really means nothing. Our politicians will use this to keep us off balanace and thus maintain the control they want.

Yeah, I know, this sounds a litte aextreme and whacked, but I don't think it is really very far from the truth.

If any stance is unpopular in a group it will be changed. What really happens in todays economics is pretty much irrellevant in politics. Any faults will be blamed on the other guy, no one will take responsibility for the current situation. In fact, I would say it goes far enough that if there is a problem, the other side is laying in wait, drooling at the chops, waiting for a moment and opportunity to attack and call out the opponent.

Deep breath, rant gear disengaged.
Mark

Well, Mark...I've been saying the same thing for a long time.

Our masters have been playing both sides against the middle every since the Earth cooled.

Every now and then you need to fire the whole bunch and start over.

So maybe what you should say to all those folks is "thank you for paying my bills."
So quit paying "our" way... and I gar-roan-tee you we will be all right. Don't bitch to me that you think I'm getting your share! Vote and make a change!

Geez!

so i guess it's fair to say that it's primarily the blue states money that is paying for the wars the red states want.

Hey, the north didn't mind the Civil War though, did they? Wasn't our idea.

Well at least they paid for it themselves.

Oh shit, not the "Civil War" again!

All I meant to say is that I live in a red state and I am taxed to death. At the same time my yearly "car tax" hit, I got my "stormwater tax" bill. You heard me right, and extra tax I pay because it fucking rained. But, all around me I have people that......oh fuck it.
Ya know, it's all bullshit. "Oooo, their going to take your guns, then Obama and his hordes of negroes are going to rape your women! Oooo, they're trying to kill Jesus!!!! Oooo, they want to enslave you!!! Oooo, Obamas built concentration camps and has cattlecars waiting to round up the white folks!!! Oooo the Democrats are in cahoots with the terrorists!" Bullshit, designed to frighten and anger you. That's all it is. And they are no better than their opposition, they do the same shit, they just have a different way of going about it. Welfare? Give me a fuckin' break. When was the last time a goddamn Republican lifted a finger to do anything about welfare? "We would but the Democrats won't let us." After they accuse the Dems of being "pussies" and "wimps"? Well, let's see; Hmmmm? If you can't get anything done because a "pussified wimp" won't let you, then what in the hell does that make YOU? Pathetic and full of shit, THAT'S WHAT! They should change their moniker from GOP to BOW---"Bag Of Wind". Or maybe "FOS" for "Full Of Shit"?

"Well, they'll make all of these slackers pull their weight." BULLSHIT, AGAIN. It's not the do-nothings they want to strip of "entitlements". They know there will always be deadweight, no matter what we do. It's the people who DO work for a living that they want to strip "entitlements" away from. "Well, Americans workers ARE overpaid and underworked." And what are you, if not an "American Worker"? A fucking space alien? You drop in off of a spaceship from the planet Conservatopia to work yourself to death for a buck a day, and barter chickens for your healthcare? Get a fucking clue. It's YOU Limbaugh (et al) is bitching about when he runs his pukehole about "Pampered Americans". YOU and ME, only I finally figured it out and grew sick of hearing it. You just go on assuming he's (And all of the other right wing vomit tossers.) talking about "the other guy". No, no. They're talking about US, dipshit. You, me, and everyone else.

Rant over,
Dave

I'm not going to delete my rant because I believe the basic message to be true, but I will apologize for being so bellicose. I've been under a lot of pressure lately. (Family and personal issues.)
