I would not want to be 100 percent disabled those guys tend to be falling apart.
I am 0 percent disabled but it is enough for the Cal Vet program.

And don't give me this elitist and entitlement "serve your country" crap. That is a lame Nationalist argument based in -- let me guess -- your own service and/or the irrational canonizing of folks who managed to get through Basic.

Sum? The only judgment I sense here is yours and it is rank.
you fail to realize Zeke that most of America is connected to the military in some way, as the above posts by all of us indicate. Whatever issues you have would not be any better if the Miltiary Industrial Complex and the tradition of serving your nation did not exist at all.

that is how Putin thinks

you should not generalize it is bad.

A reasonable man might suggest that as intelligent as one might be, there was nothing in the long history of the American military that indicated the government would abuse it's questionably "legal" right to the stop-loss policies it has recently exercised in times of undeclared war.

But then there's nothing in the history of this forum that suggests to me that you've ever been much of a reasonable man...as is further evidenced from the rest of this post.

That said...I will agree that anybody who walked in and took the oath after the recent treatment of it's indentured servants became common knowledge probably doesn't have much to complain about.

The answer to that question is time- and context-sensitive.

I was in the Corps from 1969 to 1975 and during the Vietnam war 90% of us were volunteers. And we were meat to the government and the military high command then as well.

Especially as those in command were just plain incompetent.

Worse than that, the military high command was guilty of a criminal conspiracy by their continuous lies to the people of this country. It started with the big lie, the Gulf of Tonkin lie in 1964, and never got any better...maybe worse.

And the pathetic politicians got away with what they always get away with, and what they continue to get away with right up to this moment, pointing their gnarly fingers at somebody else...in this case..."Uh...we only know what the Pentagon tells us."

I'm pretty sure within the context and time-sensitivity of this post that it's actually you saying you're right, and as is your habit, trying to stuff your words into someone else's mouth.
