With Repugnant Congress members, it is always party before country, just like China. Here is McConnel once again supporting Trump after he accused him of insurrection.

For the first time since the Jan. 6 mob attack on the U.S. Capitol, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell publicly denounced President Trump and his supporters for instigating the insurrection.

"The mob was fed lies," McConnell, R-Ky., said in a speech on the Senate floor Tuesday afternoon.

"They were provoked by the president and other powerful people, and they tried to use fear and violence to stop a specific proceeding of the first branch of the federal government, which they did not like."

And now he signs an amicus in support of keeping Trump on the Colorado ballot.

An amicus brief in support of keeping Trump on the ballot that was submitted Thursday included the signatures of nearly 180 congressional Republicans. Among them was Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), who has largely steered clear of the 2024 Republican president race and who previously said Trump was responsible for provoking the 2021 insurrection.

It is not de-balloting. It's disqualified from being on the ballot because of actions against the state, insurrection being one of them.
