If Boehner isn't willing to take an up or down CR vote, F him. He should be voted out his chair, nice guy or not he is unwilling to do the right thing.

Boehner needs a time out or a Snickers Bar. This wacked out approach to governing isn't winning over anyone except
the tea drenched base.

edit-To clarify, Boehner was responding to a Wall St Urinal source who quoted an anonymous White House staffer as saying "We're winning". Funny how Boehner and company are strangely silent in regards to Teapublican Michelle Bachman tweeting essentially the same thing.
I agree. It's not a game. So, he needs to stop playing around and get out of the way.

It is great to see my Congressman is doing more than maintaining his blood alcohol level like most of them.

I did indeed. I even listened to Boss Limbaugh on the way home from the gym about an hour ago. He's spinning frantically the notion that it's all the Dems fault, Ted Cruz is a brilliant visionary, and other such delusional bullshit.

I'm still waiting for a response from mine, Dana Rohrbacher-TP, Ca. I'm not holding my breath.

Unintended or intended consequences?

"NEW YORK -- The federal government shutdown has left the futures markets largely unregulated, raising concerns over fraud and manipulation with a hobbled watchdog, a Commodity Futures Trading Commission official said.
Only 28 employees of the agency’s about 700-person workforce are still on the job, CFTC Commissioner Bart Chilton said.
Only two or three of those employees are left watching the futures markets as Congress and President Obama remain deadlocked in a battle over spending, the healthcare overhaul and the debt ceiling, the commissioner said.
The CFTC regulates the markets for contracts involving everything from oil, corn, metals and interest rate swaps.
Chilton said the agency typically has 50 employees with “eyeballs on a screen” when markets are open. Now it’s less than five, he said."

You have a stronger stomach than I do, Pat.

I can barely hold back from throwing the remote at the TV when I see clips of that punk on Stewart's show.
