Because Cruz was trying to postpone the enactment of the ACA because it was ready. As we ultimately seen at the rollout.

You need to sign up at the exchange 13 so your fellow Californians do have to foot the bill should you get in a car accident, and so you do not go bankrupt from a medical emergency.

First, it's working in spite of the "keep-repeating-it's-a-failure-until-they-give-up" BS coming from the Excrement-in-Fraudcasting echo chamber, and second, it's filling a vital need that nothing else has addressed. Until someone comes up with something more substantial than the crickets-and-tumbleweeds vaporware non-response from the opposition it's here to stay.
And Turd Cruz still owes us $24 Billion.

Enough people who could not afford healthcare before now have healthcare and are having problems attended to, if the GOP somehow managed to repeal the ACA there will be angry people with guns waiting ouside Congress.

No, he'll wait until something really bad happens to him.

Then he'll come whining to the gummint to take care of him. And when they do he'll bitch about how they aren't doing enough for him and he'll blame that on the Democrats.

It's the way of the winger.

I think you're right, except what makes you think they'd wait outside?

I'm going to wonder aloud again about whether Tar Baby has health insurance or not. I asked before but, since I have him on Ignore, I don't know whether he answered or not. Given his self-employed status and his general attitude, I suspect that he doesn't and that he never even bothered to check Covered California to see what might be available to him.

"Keep your government hands off my Obamacare!"

Oh, the irony!

The only reason Ted Cruz acted as he did regarding the ACA is because he was pimping himself for votes by making promises to constituents he knew in front there was no way to keep. He lied through his teeth to his constituents and they're too fucking stupid to realize it. But they're all from Texas so what a shock that is.
