A few years ago I ran into Jesse Jr. one day at the WBEZ-NPR Chicago broadcast studios. I was scheduled to do an interview with Richard Steele right after Junior. His mania must have been raging...he wouldn't shut up, refused to leave the studios until he was finished with what he had to say, and I had to come back the following day to do my interview. He's a pompous asshole, just like his old man.
Of course, now I'm relaxing in retirement at our home in the dunes, and Junior is a resident of the federal accommodations in Montgomery, AL after being moved for getting into a fistfight with guards at his former residence at the federal accommodations in Butner, NC. So maybe there's some justice after all.
PS - my apologies for taking this thread way off the tracks.

My gut feeling is that the Ferguson police department does not feel very comfortable about what really happened. They seem to be on the defensive. No press conference supporting their cop, refusal to release his name, and apparently no video. I mean the Russians do dash cams better.

I'm sorry Zeke I really can't comprehend why these people have such thick heads and can't understand a two party reaction. Even if the cop was a dick personally as soon as he is being attacked he has the right to defend himself. He can't in any way lose his weapon to a civilian, one that's acting as if they will use it against him and others.
If you that dumb of a MF to fight someone with a gun you should get shot.

Ok reading though all this crap mainly from the idiot Tom Joad.
I find it very funny you all want to blame authority in this case, a teen attacking a cop. But when people legally protest on open land where it's legal to carry firearms and show no aggression to a officer you want the feds to gun them down.
Fuckin Hypocrits

Of course not. They and Sharpton are too busy looking for cameras and microphones to monopolize.

I wasn't going to do this but it's early and I'm only half-awake and half-responsible.
We all are not blaming authority. Actually nobody is blaming authority. Some of us are saying it's the copper's fault. Some of us are saying it's the kid's fault. Some of us are saying lets wait and see what examination of the whole incident tell us.
Read all the posts. Fucking cretin.

The Revolution Will Not Be Televised. The 'kid' was Gil Scott-Heron, in one of the earliest raps. It's funny--it's one of those things that was played about three times on the radio at the time, but everybody knows it--at least a little.
Enjoy.

The Michigan police officers who fired their weapons 47 times, fatally shooting a homeless man after a confrontation over stolen coffee, won’t face federal charges, Rawstory reports.
Federal authorities including the FBI and the U.S. Department of Justice announced earlier this week that there wasn’t enough evidence to charge the six Saginaw police officers.
“After a thorough investigation, federal authorities have determined that this tragic event does not present sufficient evidence of willful misconduct to lead to a federal criminal prosecution of the police officers involved,” the agencies said in a joint statement viewed by Rawstory.
On the afternoon of July 1, 2012, police were called to investigate a report that a man had stolen a cup of coffee from a convenience store.
