At $200,000,000 per day that's a freight car of C notes. So much for them being the party of fiscal responsibilty. It boggles the mind, Pat.

What mentality? I swear that if you shone a light in one ear it would come out the other side undiminished.

Interesting breakdown of displeasure with the Republican shutdown of the government from FOX.
" A quarter of voters blame "Republican leaders such as John Boehner," while another 17 percent blame "Tea Party Republicans such as Ted Cruz." But 24 percent point the finger at Obama. Eight percent blame "Democratic leaders such as Harry Reid." And another 20 percent blame everybody in Washington."
Has the TP shifted the blame on to Boehner?

Even Fox viewers aren't bamboozled by the incessant babbling spin coming from idjits at Faux and Friends.
"Surveys by CBS News and Fox News showed 44 and 42 percent of respondents, respectively, saying Republicans in Congress are at fault for the shutdown. Thirty-five percent of those polled by CBS blamed Obama and the Democrats in Congress, compared to 32 percent in the survey by Fox."

The same one that led us to "Stay the course!" after discovering there were no WMDs. The same mentality that thinks admitting a mistake or a past wrongdoing is a "....sign of weakness." or that "Might Makes Right!", "America, love it or leave it!". Or any other from the long list of pigheaded foolishness some love to spout.

“This isn’t some damn game,” Boehner said loudly, repeating his position that the Democratic-controlled Senate should negotiate changes in the Affordable Care Act as part of passing a funding bill. “All we want is to sit down and have a discussion.”
Boehner needs a time out or a Snickers Bar. This wacked out approach to governing isn't winning over anyone except
the tea drenched base.
edit-To clarify, Boehner was responding to a Wall St Urinal source who quoted an anonymous White House staffer as saying "We're winning". Funny how Boehner and company are strangely silent in regards to Teapublican Michelle Bachman tweeting essentially the same thing.
