Last night I watched the Obama and Romney profiles that CNN has been running for a few weeks.
Nothing really jumped out at me about Obama. He seems like most lawyers I have worked with.
As for Romney, nothing really jumped out at me about him either. He seems like the few dick lawyers I have worked with.
For me the most telling part in the Romney story was his lack of remorse for cutting off that kids hair in high school. Romney treated that situation like it was evidence and he was on trial. All he said was that that was the sort of thing he hoped would not come up in a Presidential election. He treated that trivial event like it was inadmissible evidence or something. He was completely devoid of compassion. I think a normal human would have said something like yes, that was a dumb boy thing I did and I have regretted it ever since. But he didn't say that so I am left to believe that Mitt never did apologize to the neighbor kid and still thinks he is better than him. That's icky.

2010 was a desperate attempt by people to change Congress. What it got us was a do absolutely nothing Congress that included a credit downgrade. Fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again.
It looks like the queen bee of the tbagger caucus is going to lose her seat in Congress despite the fact that she has out spent her opponent 12 to 1 in her deep red district. This is not a good sign for Romney who hitched his wagon to the clown car caucus when he chose Ryan as his running mate.
Ryan sees the writing on the wall. He has poured millions of dollars into his bid to retain his seat in Congress in the past couple of weeks.

That would have been funny. You just know the guys would have turned purple with rage.
At the end of the day, though, the guy is my neighbor and I feel compelled to do my part to keep the peace. He tolerates my outdoor parties with music playing into the night and cars parked up and down the street. It's only fair that I tolerate his friends when they come over. I also have three driveways so it's not like I was blocked in.

This is so funny, you Obama folks are crowing about your man (an incumbent President) being within the margin of error in a couple polls. Romney, in a huge landslide, I just got the news.

Let's see....Nevada and New Mexico solid blue, Colorado a tie up. A few elections back these would have been Romney's already. It seems like the Republican party may be done nationally. I do not see why you are so happy. In a few more years a Republican will not be able to win a Presidency, unless they get rid of the tea party. I always look at the bright side of things.

People who refuse to admit wrongdoing and treat apology as if it's something reprehensible piss me off. I was raised that it takes more of a man to admit mistakes than it does to be an arrogant, intransigent ass. That's why when Obama said, ".....yes, mistakes have been made...." in regards to his administration on the Latino network, he GAINED repsect in my eyes. But then I watch as Republicans use this honesty against him.......
What in the hell is that? I guess you have to be an arrogant, intransigent ass to understand their way of thinking.
Regards,
Dave
