^^^ I want more details, but this sounds terrible. At first read, Olivers seems to be telling us AT&T wanted to have a right wing network, so they are funding OAN. And they don't care how batshit or harmful it is, it seems.

AT&T has been a hidebound, clumsy, stupid stepchild of itself ever since the Bells were broken up, but this represents new heights of clueless corporate malpractice.

Two years ago I divorced my company from AT&T services totally, today I cut off all personal business relationship. Good riddance. When the customer service agent told me to give them a call if I changed my mind, I guffawed. This company does not have a conscience whatsoever.

AT&T, like just about all American corporations , believes in unrestrained capitalism. Lots of Democrats do too, but more do not. This potential fault line may interfere with Biden having a successful 2024 convention.

If/when the economic hit gets bad enough ATT will apologize, kick OAN to the curb and promise to do better. Either that or they can become the service provider to the MAGA crowd.
They won't be getting any more money from me.

That's an interesting but flawed analysis.

Unrestrained capitalists generally try to avoid alienating a large segment of their customer base. Methinks this will prove to be a bad business strategy.

Yup, even the most ardent true believers in unrestrained capitalism know honey attracts far more flies than vinegar. What's your point? My point is about capitalism which can only be restrained by law, like our two Roosevelt's did. Supply and demand are the only restraints recognized by the free market.
