Putting them side by side like that probably helped Trump. He appeared to be quite sane and reasonable by comparison.

The Trump Surge

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/donald...133226924.html

Quote:
Real-estate mogul Donald Trump has hit a new high-water mark in the CNN/ORC survey, garnering 41% support among national Republican-primary voters in a poll released Tuesday.

That was more than double the support of Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, Trump's closest rival in the GOP presidential primary. Cruz had the support of 19% of GOP voters in the survey. No other candidate hit double digits.

An ABC News/Washington Post poll published Tuesday found similar results, with Trump leading Cruz nationally 37% to 21%. Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida came in third at 11%, but no other Republican candidate ticked up to double digits.

In Iowa however, Cruz is still hanging in there like a rusty fish hook.

Trump Goes to Church

This is rich. Trump tries to make a point of going to church in Iowa on Sunday. Surprise visit. So here's the Bible text for that day they read from their book of texts for the year (they use a modern translation, you'll note):

Quote:
“But I also want you to think about how this keeps your significance from getting blown up into self-importance. For no matter how significant you are, it is only because of what you are a part of,” the passage reads in the Message translation, which was used in the service. “Can you imagine Eye telling Hand, ‘Get lost; I don’t need you’? Or, Head telling Foot, ‘You’re fired; your job has been phased out’?”
AND the sermon goes on to mention Syrian refugees and Mexican migrants as among those 'afflicted' that Jesus wants us to help. The irony is deeper than the snow in Maryland, seems to me!

This doesn't sound like anything you would hear in a Presbyterian church.

Sounds like something you would hear in some liberal hippie church like the Unitarians.

The Watchmaker apparently wanted to "wind Trump up".
