Silly me...sitting here waiting for this to be processed through the law. Maybe it's because I was weaned on stuff like the Fred Hampton and Mark Clark incident where young black men were shot to pieces in their beds, not in the act of assaulting a police officer.

You're being sarcastic, but your first sentence may be a literal and fair assessment.

And if you're 'waiting.' why are you so positive that what we have here is a man 'shot...in the act of assaulting a police officer?' Isn't that a prime example of the speculation you were attacking before?

I'm not being sarcastic in the least. Meant every word, feel free to take it exactly as it was given. I don't believe it's any more speculative to state that the guy went after the officer any more than it's speculative that he was shot six times for it. So...I am waiting...I am waiting...all year...all year.

I still don't see how rushing the officer justifies pumping SIX ROUNDS into him, head and chest. Whatever happened to hitting someone with a disabling, like to the leg, but not necessarily fatal shot before killing them? Now, a cop can simply blow your brains out for running in his direction?

I call BS on that.

In other words, your argument is '[SPECULATION A] is no more speculative than [SPECULATION B]' That sounds like a defense of speculation A, at first, but it really isn't any such thing. That's really cute. Where did you learn to argue like that?

Well, that answers anyone who had any doubt as to whether you were waiting. Or does it? Seems my actual question remains--if you've concluded (by speculation) that Brown was 'shot...in the act of assaulting a police officer' you aren't really 'waiting for this to be processed through the law,' are you?

It was processed by the law.

An officer felt threatened for his life and fired, by training, until the threat was neutralized.
