Nay, from a 'golden age,' though the news often had slants and angles in those days too. But seldom in those times were blatant liars platformed on wide-audience media like they are now. McCarthy era an exception, but that was early days of TV, they evolved away from that. Maybe the current media can do that too.

Say, you're a Christian I believe? Ever check out Revelation 21:8? Note that liars are called-out there. The author seems to have viewed liars as among the very worst!
