We have no say in the selection of management by the major corporations. The mission of corporations is to make a profit, not to serve the interests of the citizenry at large.

We have some say in selecting those who manage the government, albeit small. Moreover, the mission of government is to serve the citizenry at large, although it fails in that mission too often. Nevertheless, given the options, I do trust the government more than I trust corporations.

Regards,

D-Ray

Besides, even when the government is inefficient, they do provide employment (and benefits), whereas large corporations maximize profit and distribute it to a select few.

And no corporation will ever consider the well being of the population at large as a government can. Healthcare should not be considered a business but a necessary function provided by governments.

Did you look at the timestamp on the link Jim? That story came out almost three hours ago. Scared? Where do you get that idea?
By the time the midterms roll around the core talking point of the tea drenched 'baggers' will be yesterdays' news. Go ahead and run on repealing Obamacare 'baggers, cause that has worked so well for ya the last 40+ times in the House. Pbbttt...

I think what Bob is trying to point out is the irony in which the right will complain that Obama is too rigid, then complain when he shows flexibility, describing this "flexibility" as a failure to follow the law (ACA) to the letter. (Lawlessness)

It's an attempt to trap the president in a "pickle", wherein he is perceived as wrong, no matter what he does.

Fortunately, not everyone falls for this trick.
