Good description of the Gov's intellect but much less appetizing. And the case fairly screams conflict of interest and interference of an agency.

From what I've heard grand juries basically do what the prosecutor tells them.

As Tension Eases on Ferguson’s Streets, Focus Turns to Investigation

http://www.nytimes.com/2014/08/21/us...-protests.html

It's only just beginning but already there is controversy regarding the DA. And he sounds like a Republican.

"Protesters gathered outside Mr. McCulloch’s office on Wednesday, calling for him to step aside. They argued that he could not be impartial because his father, a police officer, was shot and killed by a black man while on duty when Mr. McCulloch was a child."

Looks like a big mess is getting even messier.

Yes, links to their accounts have already been posted several times by myself and others.

Yup.

The officer was attacked, end of story.

Something like that would certainly disqualify him from being on a jury on a case like this.

In this case they will be under a public microscope so shenanigans will be difficult to hide. Doesn't mean the results will be accepted by all.

Grand juries are not set up for shenanigans. Just that by their very nature, minimal evidence is presented and then the case is sent to the court. They are supposed to filter out weak cases but often works like a Bulgarian parliament.
