Trump knows exactly who Mr. K. is - he covered Trump for six years, interviewed him multiple times, and Trump is citing his specific article to support his specious Muslim statements. Trump also copied his physical disability joint movements exactly, openly, and with great ridicule.
Trump is a crumb of the worst sort. If he accidently caught on fire, I wouldn't pee on him to put the fire out. The fact he is the Republican's preferred candidate for president of the country at this point tells me a lot about the level of statesmanship we are currently experiencing....we lack leaders.

You're exactly right. Problem is; Trumps supporters also believe we lack leaders........... And that a "leader" like Trump is exactly what this country needs.
Scary, isn't it?

Yep.
I believe he is the culmination of everything the American far-right has been lusting after; Crass, rude, unapologetic (No matter how wrong he is.), insulting, arrogant and willing to go to dangerous extremes to give them whatever severed head they lust for.
He is quite the panderer extraordinaire.
Fortunately, despite his current popularity I really don't think he'll make it. He'll keep pushing, but when it comes down to it, mainstream Americans left, right and center don't like dictators. He will lose and be seen as an overreaction brought on by Obama Derangement Syndrome.
Of course I could be wrong. It happens.

After all his recent comments, can we say that he is fascistic?
I is a pity that many many people on this planet have a tendency to generalization which leads to the equations
AMERICA = TRUMP
TRUMP = AMERICA
Good to know that - according to the German weekly newspaper "Die Zeit" - just eight percent of the Americans entitled to vote are actually ready to vote for him.

In my opinion, Yes. You can say that. There are some in this country who've been calling for a "businessman" to run for decades. Ironically, these same people will complain about the corporate influence on our government. (As if corporations aren't run by businessmen.  ) At any rate, I have never liked this idea for one simple reason;
Corporations are not Democracies.........or Constitutional Republics, for those who choose to call our form of government that. They are by nature Oligarchies, run in top down rule fashion by small groups of people whose authority is only limited by governmental intrusion. Once this governmental intrusion is removed or heavily corrupted, the workers, the communities, the consumers are all subject to their unhindered influence, directly.
So, how is putting a Corporate executive in the Whitehouse supposed to result in greater freedom for the common man?
To my mind it is not only the wrong direction, it is the final nail in the coffin of our Democracy and the establishment of Corporate Fascism.
Regards,
Dave

Thanks BlueStreak.
Tom Joad, are you trying to say that George Bush already ruined the political reputation of the United States many years ago? If so, I agree with you but I would like to tell you that I think that he was due to his incompetence a dangerous politician. But Trump is a muddle-headed agitator like Joseph Goebbels. And therefore theoretically much worse than Bush.

I have no doubt that Bush was incompetent.
But it went beyond that.
He also had a very evil agenda, or his handlers did. My theory about him is that he was installed in the Presidency because he could be easily manipulated by the powerful people that put him there.
Very early on, right after the fall of Iraq, in April of 2003 the Neocons started making noises about going into Syria next. I have no doubt the agenda they had was to topple one regime after another and install their own puppets in order to control of the entire Middle East. What they didn't count on was the post Saddam resistance that sprang up. So with regard to their agenda in the Middle East, they failed miserably.
However they had smashing success with their economic agenda in that massive amounts of wealth was transferred from the poor and middle class to the rich.
Anyway, thats the way I see it.
Quite frankly I consider these so called moderate establishment Republicans to be far more dangerous than someone like Trump. Because they are far more likely to be able to advance their agendas. I don't see Trump as electable at all. You can see evidence of this just by the way the establishment Republicans are so vehemently opposing him. They know that he will be poison to their chances in the general election and they are terrified of that.
