Surprise, I actually agree with you here. Trump's support is wider than just the racists and the bigots and what is behind this, I do not quite comprehend. Part hero worship I think, otherwise how does the belief that "Trumps tells it as it is" jive with "Trump lies 75% of the time" which is a fact? Another part is the 'anti-establishment/Washington Outsider' label that he has clothed himself in. I for one don't believe this, since he has been hobnobbing with politicians all his life.

In the end it may be as other people have commented, he is the best of the worst choices within the GOP, and if your lawyer friends like and support him, you can bet it's something to do with money. Since you live in NY, any banker/finance type supporting Trump also?

People say Trump tells it like it is but they mean he tells it like an ordinary person. Vulgarities, stereotypes, off color... just like most American's speak in real life. They prefer this stylistically.

Being self financed is even a bigger draw. People want someone that might not bend to lobbyists, someone that is not going in owing Big Pharma.

It's funny, I never liked TRump until a few months back. The Iowa state fair turned me on him. Why? He owned it. See my thread on it for specifics.

Wow, good question, I had to stop and think and yeah, I know 2 guys in finance and both are pro Trump. That all I know in this field that I talk with. One guy is liberal leaning, the other guy a bit of a wing nut. The liberal guy is way smart. The con average intellect.


what I find is that every time Trump talks I hope he does not say something that makes it impossible for me to potentially support him. lol @ me
