Trump said the hiring guidance for the FAA's diversity and inclusion programme included preference for those with disabilities involving "hearing, vision, missing extremities, partial paralysis, complete paralysis, epilepsy, severe intellectual disability, psychiatric disability and dwarfism".

Motormouth at it again, this time going beyond any acceptable norms. we could very easily make the case that it is the Felon who is mentally disabled.

To review, the FAA administrator was forced out because of a business vendetta of Elon Musk’s, Trump froze the hiring of new ATC's despite staff shortages, Musk launched an underhanded attempt to hollow out the whole federal workforce, and then the first US airliner crashed in 16 years.

Trump is feeling threatened by the DCA crash, so he needs to find something/someone other than himself to blame. DEI is going to be his excuse for every bad thing that happens on his watch. Bet on it.

FAA employees, including air traffic controllers, received an email from the federal Office of Personnel Management Thursday night about the sweeping buyout offer for federal employees, even though FAA employees were reportedly excluded from the government’s initial buyout offer. The email encouraged FAA employees to resign their posts almost exactly 24 hours after the first major commercial plane accident in the country in almost 16 years, The New York Times reported. The air traffic control field has been plagued by staffing shortages for years.

Incidentally, three-quarters of air traffic controllers in the United States are White; 84 percent are men. Only 7 percent have disabilities. Seven in 10 are White men. Those numbers haven’t changed much since Trump was president in 2019 — despite the initiation of a program that year aimed specifically at hiring more people with disabilities at the FAA.

So Trump's 2017 administration was the one that initiated the DEI hiring to begin with and now is blaming Biden for it.
