Cohen says he turned over cellphones to Manhattan prosecutors investigating Trump hush-money payments
https://thehill.com/blogs/blog-brief...oney-payments/
Quote:
Former Trump attorney Michael Cohen on Wednesday revealed that he recently turned over his cellphones to Manhattan prosecutors who are investigating hush-money payments paid to adult-film star Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 elections.
“Most recently, they asked for my cellphones because they want to be able to extract from it the voice recordings that I had had with Keith Davidson, former attorney to Stormy Daniels before Michael Avenatti, as well as a bunch of emails, text messages and so on,” Cohen told Don Lemon on “CNN’s This Morning.”

The Trump Crime Family - Legal Issues
Donald J. Trump grew his business, fortune and fame through a pattern of criminal activity, according to a new book by a veteran prosecutor, who reveals that the Manhattan district attorney once considered charging the former president with racketeering, a law often used against the Mafia.
The prosecutor, Mark F. Pomerantz, had mapped out a wide-ranging possible case against the former president under the state racketeering law, according to the soon-to-be published book, People vs. Donald Trump. That broader approach was based on the theory that Mr. Trump had presided over a corrupt business empire for years, a previously unreported aspect of the long-running inquiry.
In my career as a lawyer, I had encountered only one other person who touched all of these bases: John Gotti, the head of the Gambino organized crime family.

As I have said many times before, Trump is a career criminal.

Yet there are fools on this very forum who still claim Donny isn’t a career criminal.

Its too bad that regardless of party affiliation or ideology, that prosecutors and AG's who have the authority to go after bad guys like Trump don't do it because what is most important is they fear a loss kills their future in politics.

The day after leaving the White House, Kushner created a company that he transformed months later into a private equity firm with $2 billion from a sovereign wealth fund chaired by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Kushner’s firm structured those funds in such a way that it did not have to disclose the source, according to previously unreported details of Securities and Exchange Commission forms reviewed by The Washington Post. His business used a commonly employed strategy that allows many equity firms to avoid transparency about funding sources, experts said.

A New York appellate court has upheld a $110,000 contempt order against former President Donald Trump for flouting discovery orders in the state attorney general’s fraud investigation.

In a sealed motion, federal prosecutors have invoked the crime-fraud exception to compel more testimony from Trump lawyer Evan Corcoran.
https://www.nytimes.com/2023/02/14/u...stigation.html
This means that DOJ is telling a federal judge that a Trump lawyer assisted him in committing a crime.
