The Jan. 6 committee presented evidence that lawyers advising Trump knew the plan had no legal merit. But he pursued it anyway.

62% of independents say Trump should be prosecuted. He is toast, if the prosecution happens. If not, that number will erode, as some conclude his opponents don't have the goods after all.
