\Trump seemed determined to show that the Biden family is just as awful as his.

Unless he can get Biden to say "good" about the children losing their parents, he'll have no chance of doiing that!

The best part of last nights debate was that the moderator didn't make any news. I thought she did a good job, though the candidates did a better job controlling their less than civil impulses last night.

Regarding health care, Biden failed to make the case in a clear, concise manner about what a "public option" would look like and why it would be any better than the status quo. If anything suggesting that a public option is necessary implies that there's something deficient about Obamacare, and it didn't serve him well last night.

Regarding the emails, laptop, etc., I think it was a mistake to bring that into the debate last night. Hunter Biden's business dealings had not been widely reported until recently, and the public at large probably doesn't know much about it. So, introducing it last night might have raised some questions for some, but I suspect the Trump campaign was thinking that they might use the topic to deliver a "knock out" blow, which would be unrealistic IMHO.

Best summary I’ve read so far.

The final Biden-Trump presidential debate: our panelists' verdict

https://www.theguardian.com/commenti...-panel-verdict

Sums it up nicely:

Quote:
If one single thing shone through in Thursday’s debate, it was that Donald Trump has absolutely nothing to say. He has no agenda. He has no plan. He has no ideals or hopes or purpose. All he has is the raw pursuit of power – for his own benefit, no one else’s.
All hat, no cattle.

Jonathan Reiner @JReinerMD

Last night the president again said we’re rounding the corner. Yesterday we had 73k new cases, the most ever recorded on a single day. Hospitalizations have risen to 41k pts and over 1000 people died. Facts matter. We’re rounding the corner into a tsunami.

"I'm the least racist person in the room."

This implies that everyone else in the room is racist. Only a racist would see that line as appropriate. You see tRumplings, there is a difference between least racist and not racist. Also as some have pointed out not being racist isn't enough, one must be anti-racist.
