Well, he can claim the best (self-inflicted) "October surprise" in the history of US politics.

It's impossible to "elevate" a conversation about Trump, who constantly goes lower than any politician in US history.

Just a reminder:
The human being to whom you allude, currently in office as the 45th US president, I would say bears responsibility for at least half of 209,000 COVID deaths in the US, due to his malfeasance. Further, he is now enlisting violent racists to spearhead political violence aimed at subverting constitutional government. I actually welcome the news that he has a disease that may cause him to die promptly, and if he does I will be pleased and relieved.
Sure, I'm the asshole.

Medical experts puzzled by Trump taking experimental drugs Remdesivir and Regeneron

During a panel discussion on MSNBC, multiple medical experts weighed in on Trump being treated with Remdesivir and Regeneron. Although its not uncommon for patients to be treated with Remdesivir, what is uncommon is the use of it for mild symptoms which the White House has claimed the president has. The use of Regeneron has also raised concerns due to the lack of evidence to prove its effectiveness.

Well, at least no bleach so far...

Covering a cover-up in real time
What is the actual state of President Trump's health — now and over the past 24 hours?

The bottom line: Multiple sources in the White House and on the campaign have reached out since Meadows' statement, and said they're utterly perplexed about what's going on.
They, like us, have little confidence in what they are being told.

Travis Akers @travisakers
“Secret Service agents expressed their anger and frustration to colleagues and friends Friday, saying that the president’s actions have repeatedly put them at risk. “He’s never cared about us,” one agent told a confidant.”
Trump seemed to defy the laws of science and disease. Then, the coronavirus caught up with him.
Mask-wearing had become rare among the president’s staff, and he rejected precautions before he tested positive.

Rick Wilson @TheRickWilson
By the way, Trump came by this case of Covid the old fashioned way; by being a reckless buffoon willing to expose his family and staff to a deadly virus.
He’s never been a paragon of robust judgement, but he has no one else to blame.

The Hoarse Whisperer @TheRealHoarse
If the situation had been reversed, Donald Trump would have said Biden should drop out of the race by now.
