...and yet, as I continue to point out, if God forbid a shooter showed up tomorrow at their school, all of this "media attention", NRA blaming and begging for stricter gun laws will have done not a single thing to make their school safer.

This is what scares the evil Republicans still supporting the NRA and Florida House just yesterday voted down an assault rifle ban. Students organizing marches and $Millions being raised from both celebrities and ordinary people through GoFundMe. At this rate, Trump & the GOP may have to ban 18 year old's form voting.

Is that why the Florida Republicans voted against a ban on assault rifles?

You continue to believe that anyone here cares what you “point out”. Cute.

The influence of the NRA must be severely attenuated to have rational public discourse on this topic. Nothing meaningful will happen otherwise and they know that, this is the point.
Gun fanatics are a minority and apathy in the middle has made them effective in legislation.
We must eventually have a Constitutional referendum on the Second for revision to eliminate the unconditional unlimited entitlement to get an effective universal policy that serves the total public interest over commercial profiteering. Fwiw, "Infringement" under the present assumptions already happens and exists, that horse left the barn a long while ago.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Instead of 10th-grade English and 12th-grade calculus, the teenagers from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., had another funeral to attend. When the grim ceremony was over on Tuesday morning, they hugged their parents goodbye, stashed their backpacks in the bellies of three buses and set off in grief and hope to demand gun control measures from state lawmakers more than 400 miles away.

As they were getting on the road, the lawmakers in Tallahassee swiftly rejected an effort to debate an assault weapons ban in a party-line vote that said much about how far apart most Democrats and Republicans are when it comes to guns. In the balcony, some Parkland students who had already made it to the Capitol could be seen crying, hands smothering mouths.
Quote:
“This shooting is different from the other ones,” said Daniel Bishop, 16, who sat side-by-side with his sister on the second bus. “Sandy Hook, they were elementary school kids who couldn’t stand up for themselves. Virginia Tech was 2007, a different time. But this one, I just have a gut feeling — something is going to change.”
Let us all hope so or at the very least start a movement like the Women's march that cannot be silenced. Politicians may be underestimating these students, they have time and passion on their side. And who or how can they be silenced?

Warning to the GOP: Note these students are future voters.

A responsible firearm owner secures weapons and ammo. Will not allow any unskilled or mentally challenged to use them.

So just where is the argument against allowing the State or Federal requiring the same?

How Donald Trump has enabled the outrageous 'crisis actors' conspiracy in Florida

Good analysis of these despicable creatures, Whell’s fellow cesspool dwellers.
