Here it is. We know Trump has been giving 'aid and comfort' to the Russians, all along and plenty lately. Now with the bounty revealed Russia gains the overt status of "enemy." So we have "aid and comfort to the enemy."

And that's the Constitutional definition for treason. And treason happens to be the first high crime listed as grounds for impeachment. (Bribery, btw, being the second.)

Bunker Boy is claiming it's a hoax by the newspapers and the Democrats to make him look bad. This conveniently allows him to say no actions against Russia need be taken. Somewhere in Russia Putin is laughing his ass off.

Racism is all he’s got.

Everything else Donald Trump was going to run on this summer and fall has evaporated. The “booming” economy? (Which he inherited from Barack Obama in the first place.) The U.S. has the worst unemployment rate since the Great Depression and the situation is about to get exponentially worse as unemployment benefits expire. And no, “reopening” is not a solution, since the data makes clear that consumers have little interest in shopping or eating out during a pandemic.

So now Trump, aided as usual by the massive propaganda apparatus at Fox News, is pushing all his chips on the bet that just enough voters in swing states will disregard all these failures, so long as he keeps escalating the racism. There’s no real evidence this will work — his efforts to whip up racist hysterics about a “caravan” that was “invading” the U.S. in the fall of 2018 (it was really a small group of Central American refugees fleeing from violence) did nothing to prevent the Democrats’ big midterm win — but Trump is a dull-witted man with few real ideas. Racism is all he has.

I understand his thinking but there's a flaw in his plan. In 2016 he did a great job of whipping up his base and getting out their vote. So much so that there's not much left in the well. In 2016 tRump was out voted by approximately three million votes. Upwards of 150 million voters sat the election out. Some didn't think it mattered. Some, I think, didn't vote for Hillary because they didn't like her but figured she's win anyway. If just half of those get off their butts and into the polls, or mail it in, a historic landslide may be the result. A wild card in the mix is a tRump/GOP attempt at outright stealing the election. Not to be discounted because the have so very much to loose.
