Talking

While listening to NPR this morning it became abundantly clear that the impeachment case against the President is extremely weak.

The dems cannot make a case without involving Hunter Biden.

There is the rub.

This message announces that you've arrived at a conclusion that makes you happy, "," but gives us no insight as to your actual reasoning. Absent that, we have no reason not to assume the 'makes you happy' part was decisive.

There are, of course, many grounds for impeachment that have nothing to do with either the Ukraine or the Bidens. In a tit-fot-tat spirit, I will not list them.

It’s been obvious for quite some time that he doesn’t reason at all. Anyone who promotes Fucker Carlson’s hate mongering simply isn’t capable of thought.

I just listened to the piece. Took the interview of Jamil Jaffer to be a very partisan, toeing the party line of the day in his statements. The interviewer, Noel King tried to get answers but was unsuccessful in getting him to stray from the scrip.

Like she stated, most have already made up their minds where they stand.

BTW, this may or may not be a 'high crime or misdemeanor,' but the biggest reason for impeachment is that Trump has driven away all persons of intelligence and competence from his own staff, surrounding himself with corrupt sycophants either willing to use him as their source of power, or who are so bent as to actually like him. The effect is that the White House and the executive, denuded of talent and character, now functions at Trump's level of amorality, selfishness, bigotry, and ignorance. See link in message 3474.

Bribery is impeachable. This act is no different then trump demanding one million dollars in kick backs out of the aid. That we should all agree would be impeachable truth be told.
What trump demanded is worth millions more if not billions. Foreign assistance or aid in getting reelected next year.

I think Sperandeo engages in myth-spinning there.

Trump DC hotel sales pitch boasts of millions to be made from foreign governments

https://www.cnn.com/2019/11/14/polit...tch/index.html

Quote:
In its effort to sell off the lease to the Trump International Hotel in Washington, the Trump Organization has put together a glossy investor brochure complete with pictures showcasing the hotel's grandiose architecture, its central location and its spa's Himalayan salt chamber.

The hotel's biggest selling point though, according to a copy of the brochure seen by CNN, is the one thing that the Trump family insists it didn't take advantage of: profiting off foreign governments.

"Tremendous upside potential exists for a new owner to fully capitalize on government related business upon rebranding of the asset," reads the 46-page investor pitch.

The Trump Organization insists that its refusal to solicit foreign business has cost it more than $9 million. According to the brochure, those "sacrifices" include turning away 17,100 room nights in 2019, resulting in $5.3 million in lost room revenue and $3.9 million in lost food and beverage revenue.

The investor pitch is an explicit acknowledgment of how important foreign business is to the 263-room luxury hotel in the Old Post Office building blocks from the White House.
