WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (The Borowitz Report)—Fox News Channel’s much anticipated defamation trial was unexpectedly delayed after the network’s anchors required five hours to have their makeup done.

Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity, both expected to testify during the proceedings, were behind closed doors having what was described as “several substantial coats” of foundation, bronzer, and blush slathered onto their faces.

Judge Eric Davis called the delay “unacceptable,” reminding Fox’s attorneys that the trial was not even being televised.

But Dan Webb, Fox’s lead attorney, argued that, without their makeup, “Mr. Hannity and Mr. Carlson would be totally unrecognizable to the jury.”

The trial suffered yet another delay when the anchors finally entered the courtroom and three jurors passed out from hair-spray fumes.

Now that's what I call hostile witnesses.

Just read that on Reuters. Not a happy turn of events. Hope the apology is prolific. From a business and legal standpoint, good decision for Dominion.

FAKE NEWS EXPOSED: A Service of PoliticalChat.com

For $787 million. We will see if Fox is compelled to admit fault to its viewers. In their brief comments after the settlement, Fox said "We acknowledge the Court's rulings finding certain claims about Dominion to be false."

A sensible move by Dominion. The shadow of judge Eric Davis was all over the case.

You live in Bizarro World. Fox just admitted lying to its viewers and agreed to pay $787.5 million to Dominion. Judge Davis' imprint was on this case because of Fox withholding material during discovery, something he was less than pleased about (and something that likely helped Fox come to the conclusion that settling for 3/4 of a billion was a good thing for them).

Perhaps but the lies that Fox has been perpetrating for the last two and a half years is more like dark hanging clouds pissing on our democracy. Fox gave every reason for the Judge to get irritated and incensed.

Can Dominion now go after others?

Like the people making false statements to FOX?
