The Berniacs were given their hearing but had no clear majority or parity.
That the party didn't want to go with a totally unelectable candidate was understandable.

Where that barf emote?
You're missing the point, perhaps deliberately. Do you have an alternative view of why they didn't try to deprive Trump of the nomination?

It was not like oh wow Bernie's running let's change all the rules for state primaries and super delegates. The system has been in place for decades. If he had won more votes than Hillary I probably see a point in being very upset. But he did not.

The only Republicans who actually engaged in "soul searching" and acting "honorably" are those who have not endorsed/supported Trump. The Democrats' rules were put in place because of the McGovern debacle and Bernie is the modern day McGovern. The rules worked.

Well stated.

And if Bernie had won the primary I would support him. But, he didn't.

Is the Republican party getting more super delegates for the next merry go round?

We will have to wait and see after the election if the Dems rules really worked in getting elected!

A faction did try, but was defeated. That is a damn shame, I just hope the consequences are not as bad as they ultimately might be.

The majority can be wrong. Democracy is swell, but I'm not one to say 'Let democracy be done, thought the heaven's fall!' And understand, I'm worried about really bad stuff, going forward. Stuff with big body counts. I can see no upward limit on how bad it might get. We give this country to Trump, we may not get it back, ever.

Of course I got your stupid, spiteful point. You are willing to praise the Trump republicans to smear the Hillary Democrats. You are grotesquely wrong to do such a thing.

Now clean up your own vomit.

On that I disagree.

Trump was the best of the Republicans.

I am elated that he got the nomination over all of the others.

Actually, that's exactly what they did do.

Are you sitting down? I agree wholeheartedly.

Donito T'rumpolini is the greatest gift to the American people that the GOP could possibly dredge up from the sewer. He's going to assure that they lose the Senate and possibly the House when he goes down in flames come November.
