The scapegoat part might be true for those that do go around feeling like they have miserable fucked-up lives. That's only an unhappy subset of humans, though. It's not me, for one counter-example (except at bad moments, of course, but it isn't that often, and doesn't last, thank-goodness.)

I also wonder about the target distribution of the scapegoating subset. They certainly don't all pick Jews. Some pick 'anti-Semites,' to mention just one alternative of many. A conviction that anti-Semites are predominate everywhere could well be part of the beliefs of individuals with the syndrome you describe.

As a topic of discussion here, perhaps, but there are plenty more shoes to drop with the various ongoing lawsuits and investigations.

Then there's the sad fact that, were this issue to "go away", it would be far from an indication that Wilson acted correctly and the prosecutor presented his case in an ethical and neutral fashion.
