Fer instance...I can actually add and subtract fairly effectively, and I've even managed to memorize my times tables, my ADD notwithstanding. Then again, I still don't divide very well, and anything beyond that like fractions, decimals, or remainders...remains a mystery to me. And back in the stone tablet days when I was a freshman in the Chicago Public High School system, I dissociated all through algebra 101. There was no such thing as ADD or learning disabilities way back then so the school (and my doting parents as well) accused me of being lazy, and petulantly childish for most of the year, but the math teach took pity on me and gave me a D-.
