Ron Johnson turned the Senate into a platform for discredited election conspiracy theories
Chris Krebs stole the show.

Pure attempt at propaganda for the Faux "News" idiots. Didn't go well for Johnson and his pals.

Smile Gee let's elect this person to Congress

... because she'll fit right in with the other Repubs.

Fun with figures.

Republican Sen. Kelly Loeffler's sprawling Atlanta mansion dropped in value by roughly $6 million in 2016, significantly cutting her property-tax bill, and no one knows why.
She must have taken a page from "Cheating on taxes" by Donald tRump.

Manu Raju @mkraju

Asked Thune about incoming senator Tuberville keeping the option open.
“Well, I would hope he wouldn't do that. I think it's time, like I said before, to move on. .... But the fact of the matter is, that's been litigated over and over.”

@SenJohnThune shuts down the idea of Senators joining any House Republicans in objecting to the electoral college, telling @mkraju: "I don't think it's a good decision right now. And I don’t think it's good for the country.”

Replace the word "party" for the word "country" here.

Jonathan Karl @jonkarl

"I am counting the days until he is gone."

That's what a high-ranking Republican in Congress who has been an ally of the president told me.

(It's 29 days)

Little Marco Rubio Shredded On Twitter For Bashing Fauci — After Getting COVID-19 Vaccine
He hasn’t called out Donald Trump’s misinformation about the coronavirus, but he has criticized advice from the nation’s top infectious disease expert.

Hypocrisy, thy name is Marco.

From the article: "Rubio became one of the first Americans to receive a vaccine against COVID-19, getting a shot ahead of many elderly Americans, first responders and health care workers who have a far greater risk of contracting the disease."

I'm thinking coward.

Republicans Threaten To Deny $2,000 Checks To Their Own Constituents
House Republicans and Senate Leader Mitch McConnell represent voters who are disproportionately struggling — and yet they may block $2,000 survival checks

https://www.dailyposter.com/p/republ...o-punish-their

Quote:
... the antics of House Republicans and McConnell illustrate how — despite all of America’s paens to democracy — lawmakers ostensibly elected to represent us will routinely stomp on their own constituents.

Of course, constituents are barely part of the media narrative anymore. Indeed, if you read national news, you will almost never see a mention of whom exactly these Republicans are supposed to be representing.

For example, you will not see any mention of the fact that, according to research from AFL-CIO political director Michael Podhorzer, the majority of lawmakers in the House Republican Conference come from districts in the bottom two income quintiles — meaning their constituents would particularly benefit from the $2,000 checks.

McConnell’s role in this debacle cannot be overstated: Had he already signed onto the plan to increase the direct payments in the COVID deal, it would probably be a done deal — but so far he has been reticent, as millions of Americans are struggling to survive.

Among those millions struggling to survive are hundreds of thousands of people in McConnell’s own state of Kentucky — which is one of the poorest in the country. As such, it would particularly benefit from the $2,000 survival checks.

As McConnell plays coy in Washington, his state is becoming a Dickensian nightmare. More than 700,000 Kentuckians live below the federal poverty line.
...yet these constituents continue to vote against their own self-interest. No doubt thanks to their fealty to the propaganda of Reich-wing media...
