I think that stain is already indelible. Any savvy opponent simply has to ask them to defend what they've done and condemn them for it. Sure the gullible may still vote for them but history will record them as tRump's enablers.

Texas Has Shifted to an “It’s Your Responsibility” Pandemic Plan

As new coronavirus cases and hospitalizations reach their highest levels yet, the state is relying less on restrictions and more on individual decisions—in ways that raise the risks for Texans as a group.

Pretty much typical Repube response to just about everything. “You’re on your own, folks. Good luck!”

GOP leaders silent on QAnon-believing candidate now distancing themselves

https://www.washingtonpost.com/polit...077_story.html

Quote:
Republican leaders who said nothing after Marjorie Taylor Greene, a believer of the QAnon conspiracy theory, won a GOP primary in Georgia last week are now distancing themselves from her candidacy after the discovery of videos of her making racist, anti-Semitic and Islamophobic comments.
What a surprise!

Ex-politician Paul Petersen pleads guilty to fraud in adoption scheme

https://www.sltrib.com/news/nation-w...litician-paul/

Quote:
Paul Petersen, a Republican who served as Maricopa County’s assessor for six years until his resignation in January, faces a maximum of 17 years in prison for his guilty pleas on Arizona charges of fraudulent schemes and forgery.
Why am I not surprised this ass is a Repube?

DeSantis pivots on Covid-19 surge, says testing doesn't account for spike

https://www.politico.com/states/flor...-spike-1293901

Quote:
TALLAHASSEE — Gov. Ron DeSantis acknowledged on Saturday that the rising number of new Covid-19 cases in Florida cannot be explained away by an increase in testing, and announced plans to step up enforcement of social distancing practices in bars and nightclubs.

“Even with the testing increasing or being flat, the number of people testing positive is accelerating faster than that,” DeSantis told reporters during a briefing at the state Capitol. “You know that's evidence that there's transmission within those communities.”
Doh! You don't say!

Doh! You don't say!
When will these Repukes realize they can't BS their way through Covid-19? I predict at the next election there's going to be quite a lot of backlash for their actions.
