I thought the prize was for accomplishments, not promises.

President Barack Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize “for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples,”

He has already accomplished this.

Now I guess you need Fox to give you more lines?

"Now I guess you need Fox to give you more lines?"

What makes you think that I get lines from FOX? I am able to think for myself. With that in mind, I think that it is kind of strange that a man that in reality has accomplished so little in such a short period of time should win what used to be a prestigious prize. He may well turn out to have done great good for the world and the cause of peace after his term in office is over but this is premature.

(The fact that Jimmy Carter and Al Gore were awarded the same prize sort of diminishes the worth of the whole affair in my opinion.)

Just stereotyping, it's what we do here in modern America.

Maybe you underestimate the value of his approach to world order and the international community does not.

You may be on to something there. Could it be that the prize commitee is trying to give him "street creds" to better the cause of New World Order?

By some people...others, not so much. I do admire his work with Habitat for Humanity but as a world leader I think he was in way over his head. His sticking his nose in over the last few years has been embarrassing to say the least.

"Pro war?"

Sometimes.
