Tanks in the streets?

Just curious;

There has been a lot of hubris bouncing around these last few years about "Totalitarianism" and government seizure of guns, property and entire communities, deathcamps and so on. And I'd think that even the righties among us would have to admit, that the bulk of this has been coming from folks on their side, with the election of Barack Obama. (Although next to none of those wild predictions have come true.)

Tell me. What is your nightmare scenario?

My nightmare is that the health care bill will either die or become so distorted that it is ineffectual.

The lack of affordable health care for everyone is our biggest downfall.

Mmmmmm, more like an indefinite suspension of democracy and a coup at the top with law enforcement and Nat'l Guard at the ready to quell any attempted uprisings, is what I'm thinking.

In this scenario the Republicans do not win. Actually, no one does. Not by ballot anyhow.

Small clue; This is a recurring dream I've been having. Based on something happening in real life, albeit on a much smaller scale, right here in the U.S.........

My nightmare is an all powerful police force and a justice system skewed against oppressing the poor. It's already happened with the expansion of for-profit prisons. Righties LOVE IT.
