But I have seen very little from the Republican party in return for the attempts made at any bi-partisan management of the problems ahead for this country. The few on the right who have tried were attacked and run out of the party.

I know the left is easily duped by the type of BS that gets put in front of them by a guy like Obama, but let me ask his groupies on here what kind of president they thought Jimmah Carter was... good, great, not so good, dismal, the worst in history (excluding current of course)?

Not as easily duped as the right by the Koch Brothers, et al.

But all those free market types are honest and honorable people. I can't imagine how regulation or a lack thereof would move them from their pious paths.
Oh, maybe I missed the point. They were honest folk, until the regs hit?

I thought Carter was a good president he like Obama thought that you could be nice when dealing with the Right. That they would actually negotiate with some positive give and take.
Being one who does not limit my exposure to one source of news and tries to find the actual news behind the sound bites would make it a challenge to be duped. But I'm sure it has happen to all at one time or another . When you try to read the news from other countries daily. Not just from the US point of view a more rounded picture has to be taken in.
But if one just listens to Angry Man radio and FOX news then add in the commercials with their propaganda I could see where anything else you would hear would be a challenge.

I do a lot of news scanning. Fox is the only general news source that doesn't air 2 weeks of solid "Whitney Houston is still dead" coverage (like CNN does) so some of their leading ratings are probably gained out of pure boredem with many of the other cable news outlets which are somewhere between the evening news and the National Enquirer. Most of the hosts/commentators at MSNBC are so openly biased that I find it insulting to sit and watch. O'Rielly, who has the most watched news show in cableland, plays the devil's (left's) advocate a little too much for me, but he is still entertaining to watch.
Oh yeah... and Carter is generally not considered to have been a good president. In fact he was consistently rated as the worst in recent memory... although that distinction is now often attributed (and deservedly in my opinion) to Obama.

I'm going to adore watching your head spin in November.
If you're still around.

It cracks me up - the Pres has been somewhat dismal at playing the political game so - it's the GOP!
And gasp! There's politics in politics!
The Dems did what Bush wanted because the country wanted those things too. With the lefts' plans, not so much.

Based upon now acknowledged falsehood.
I wouldn't be claiming that as righteous.

Wow, you actually watch that stuff and admit to it?
The money that I would waste on cable buys me lots of records and seedees.
