Why is that surprising to you? Really, I want to know.
I was out protesting until 5, didn't get home until a little before 7 so any live coverage I missed.

I missed the last morning MARC train to DC so I went to another protest near me. A couple thousand protesters gathered along a 1/8 mile stretch of road. Lining both sides of the roadway. A very energetic crowd and lots of enthusiastic horn blowing. My FDJT flag was pretty popular. Several inflatable critters were in attendance too.

Simply because of this: of all the people out there protesting, I felt sure that at least a few would be unable to resist the urge to fight back against harassment by Trumpian Brownshirts.

After all, we can't all be Gandhi.

That makes sense. If you've ever gone to a protest, at least any I've gone to, there's a chill vibe going on. No one riling the crowd up to "do something" and I think if someone tried they'd be rejected. By all evidence tRUMP's brown shirts "kept it in their pants" yesterday. If they had tried something stupid too many eyes were there to see they were the instigators.

I wish I'd taken that bet

Yes, I'm very impressed at the protesters' discipline.

I've seen a few reports of MAGA types trying to start shit, but they didn't succeed. Not surprised because Dozy Don did implore them to as he put it "DO SOMETHING".

I looked at some posts on Facebook of the protest I went to and even saw myself in a couple of the pics I had people asking to take pictures of and with my flag.

There was on guy in an old 4x4 P/U rolling coal while driving past a few times. The local PD seemed not to care in the least.

Guess what the truck was plastered all over with with.

If it was Trump and MAGA junk you are correct.
