Until now, I considered Kirk as part of the freak show akin to MTG, BoBo, Luna and Noem, but of the male persuasion. Now he is a martyr and a MAGA hero to be given a burial fitting a fallen hero.

All along in my opinion, he was just cashing in by posturing as a learned MAGAt and visiting third rate schools and spewing his divisive and racist venom. He even founded a Christian think tank partnering with Falwell and called it the FallKirk something or the other.

Ricky, thanks. You just made my day. I had read about the arrest but did not look further and now am relieved that this will be a one off and not escalate further.

Utah governor Cox is taking a conciliatory attitude to de-escalate and now I know why.

The sad consequence of this killing is that it was captured live and shared on TikTok where children could watch the killing in graphic detail.

Consider for a moment all the praise in MAGA world for a guy who never served in the military nor was elected to public office. It goes to show that service to Trump represents their highest ideal.

It appears likely that Charlie Kirk is going to become MAGA's Horst Wessel. We'll see if some Nashville artist of the MAGA persuasion writes an anthem dedicated to Kirk in a fashion similar to the 3rd Reich's Horst Wessel Song.
