"Under a microscope" implies a high level of scrutiny to ascertain the truth/facts. Trump and MAGA have no intention of ascertaining the facts or truth. Orban is under the knife not because of any mouthings about Democracy or any closeness to Putin but because he letting the Chinese into Europe.
