Reagan's big increase in social security taxes was billed as assuring the future of the program. But it was just disguised income tax on the working class, making up some for GOP cuts on the upper end.

Absolutely, Bob. Why? Really...this guy has to ask why???

I'll tell you why...because DeSantis knows how fucking racist, sexist, LGBTQ-phobic, and bigoted his constituency is and that it will get him re-elected as Governor and possibly elected President. These stupid fucking white supremacist christian nationalists find a politician willing to ban books (doesn't even matter which books) and that politician gets their fucking vote.

These are the 46% of American voters who cast their ballot for a sociopathic grifter hostile/malignant narcissitic rapist pig twice, and will do it a third time. And Dondillion has to ask why a politician will pander to them? Fucking really?

The hell you support issues. Did you vote for a Republican candidate for any office in 2022? If you did, you're a goddamn hypocrite. The entire Republican party has decided to look the other way behind it's own traitorous sedition...vote for any one of them and you're a party to their traitorous behavior. There's no difference between the parties...my ass.

The rag that is the US Constitution makes it possible for politicians to threaten a default on this country's obligations if they can't put through bills that will get their vote whoring asses through the next primary season. And that really isn't the fault of either party...it's the fault of the stupid fucking electorate that puts up with it. Because...this country is getting exactly the government it deserves. The American electorate is a fucked up as the Russian electorate...in some ways even more.

Joseph de Maistre — 'Every country has the government it deserves.'

True. Of course the federal government has no sensible way to save money for later, since they are always running a big deficit anyway. So Social Security taxes 'funding future benefits' have always been a scam. If there is a dedicated tax for social security it should be enough to cover that year's benefits and no more. And it should be a progressive tax like other income tax, not a flat tax shouldered by the working class and excluding the top end.

Republican vote whores are playing bullshit politics with the issue of the debt ceiling. The only thing these vote whoring seditionists care about is the next primary season. Fiscal discipline? Are you fucking insane. Did Congressional Repubicans have a problem with the debt from the Trump tax reductions on corporations and the rich? No...not a fucking word. And while Trump was president they were happy to increase the debt ceiling without a fucking penny of spending cuts...fucking vote whoring hypocrites. And you vote for them. And let's not forget, the GOP is the party where the majority of the US House Republicans would have discarded the Electoral College vote. It's fucking sedition. Do you deny it? Yes or no. Was is a fraudulent election? Yes or no.

Just stop the bullshit spinning. The parties are not the same. The Democratic party supports the systems that maintain our democratic republic. The Republican party does not. You say there's no difference...my ass.
