DOJ sues the State of Tennessee, over gender-affirming law

Please read the whole article, courts have already blocked similar anti-trans laws in Alabama, Arkansas and Texas.

DOJ sues Tennessee, alleging it discriminates against transgender youth with new law

Quote:
Under Tennessee’s law, a doctor could prescribe testosterone to treat delayed puberty in boys who identify with their biological sex but would prohibit the same treatment to affirm the gender identity of transgender boys, the government’s lawyers said.

“The law thus discriminates against transgender minors by unjustifiably denying them access to certain forms of medically necessary care to treat a diagnosis of gender dysphoria,” the Justice Department lawyers wrote in a court filing.

“All people, including transgender youth, deserve to be treated with dignity and respect,” the government said
.

Goddamn fucking right.

What I don't understand is why these states are not being sued for violation of their own Confidentiality rights laws for minors. It's nobody's fucking business but the kid's business and the licensed counselor's business.

Human sexuality is a very complex and troubling issue.

Tackled by both the Kinsey Report and Masters and Johnson a few years back.
Both indicated humans are very complex animals.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masters_and_Johnson

Given my experiences up to today with life and other humans.

My feeling is that a adolescent is not an adult. Making life altering and sometimes irreversible decisions should not be allowed by them. Life threatening treatment of a physical nature is not included in this statement.

Like stated in the past. Known and seen many who have took many paths and turns down the road to adulthood.

Would you allow a eleven year old get a tattoo on their face?

Piecing in a private area, Tongue at the same age?

My only first cousin on my adoptive mother's side has lived in Nashville for many years. He's originally from up here in Chicago. Blue as it gets.
Tennessee is home to him. We're not blood kin but hes the only cousin I have contact with anymore.

After a 75 year separation, Ancestry connected me with my older half brother and sister...so for the first time in my life I have some blood kin in my life.
