The office I retired from had the main John Walker vault in it. I have had a Secret and or TS/SCI clearance since I was 19. I hope they hammer these fucks.

Latest bit of reporting in the WP says he got access to the stuff by being an IT tech in the office. And he's said to have smuggled the stuff out as hardcopy, then retyped it to post, or posted photos. I think his whole chain of command should be in big trouble. Lax lax lax.

Seems to be official now. The Pentagon leaks are linked to an American anti government, pro gun extremist, holding racist and antisemitic views (and who worked at military base & had clearance).

I have not seen the 'had clearance' part reported. I'd be surprised if he had clearance for everything he apparently stole.

On edit, the Guardian story says 'had access,' which is different from 'had clearance.' May or may not have had the latter.
