Hmmm.

I was complete unaware that I was touting Carlson's theory about the pipeline sabotage. I still think the USA would stand to benefit from it more than Putin, in any way, shape, or form.

The idea that Putin would have done it to manipulate European suspicion of the USA had not occurred to me. I don't think Putin would have gone to that much detrimental expense for that reason.

It brings me back to my conclusion that Carlson tells the truth about 5% of the time.

We have to remember that the NSA's business is lying to everyone, just like the CIA. For good reason of course, we're just not allowed to know the real reason.

Having retired from an intelligence command (ONI) and having dealt with Soviet and Russian intelligence most of my adult life. Destroying one's self to promote a narrative at home is in fact part of their play book. Not saying this is the case here but it is very possible.
